Owner/President Job Duties include: Chief Operations Officer and Sales Rob
Boram’s construction career started at age 12 when he began
working with his father, a part-time electrical contractor. Rob
went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Arts from
Fairmont State College and become a high school industrial arts
teacher. In 1977, Rob formed his first construction company.
Together, he and five associates built new homes and additions,
as well as restored fire-damaged buildings. In addition to his
carpentry skills, Rob handled production, estimates, sales calls
and accounting responsibilities. As the economy and construction
industry slowed in the early eighties, the corporation dissolved
and Rob formed his own part-time remodeling business. Still
teaching, Rob built additions, remodeled kitchens and bathrooms;
installed roofs and more — all while training employees and
performing the many business functions associated with running a
small company. In 1985, he retired from teaching to run Rob
Boram Construction (RBC) full time as a sole proprietor.
In
1992, Rob achieved his certified remodeler certification through
the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI),
which involves annual industry education requirements. One year
later, RBC won the NARI National Image award for promoting a
positive image of the construction industry. In 1996, Remodeling
magazine chose RBC as one of “The Big 50,” a list of the 50 best
contractors from around the country. Today, RBC’s customer base
